	Standing as one, travelers can make a difference. The Bodhi Tree Foundation^sm is the first to call on travelers and the travel and tourism industries to embrace the Power of One. If just one dollar is added to every trip we book or night we stay, we can change lives and give back to the people and places that make travel so rewarding. Our goal is to actively engage founding partners, known for their corporate social responsibility and commitment to sustainable travel, as well as savvy, passionate travelers who want to give back.		Our Work With its iconic heart-shaped leaves, the bodhi tree is a universal symbol of enlightenment, that also reflects our core values to awaken, nourish and sustain. Our roots are in the travel industry. We believe that sustainable tourism changes lives. By using our Press to protect the world’s humanity and natural treasures, we believe that we can help ensure a bright future for travel and tourism, as well as offer hope to people in need. Under current consideration for funding this year are: a sustainable Village for 500 in Rwanda a community library expansion in the Yucatan minority cultural heritage protection projects in South America and Asia computer labs in Africa We review dozens of requests and only fund cost-conscious, high impact, sustainable initiatives. We review both operating and project budgets in detail and demand full transparency. We hope to give six grants of up to $20,000 this year as pilot initiatives. Our beneficiaries portfolio will grow as our Press increase.
